Chandigarh (Aapna Pollywood) 13th October 2018. Songs are an important part of a film’s narrative. They help in breaking the monotony of the story and give it some pace as well. In fact, these days, they are a significant promotional tool used by the filmmakers to engage the audience long before the release of the film. And when it’s the title track, the song is essentially a sneak-peek into the mood of the film. Following the trend and keeping the industry and fans stirred, ‘Aate Di Chidi’ makers have released the film’s title track recently in a live show ‘Gabruu Nation’ which was held in VR Punjab Mall, Mohali. ‘Aate Di Chidi’ title song is sung by Mankirat Pannu. Lyricist Kaptaan has penned down the words on behalf of every lady out there looking for freedom of expression and living life on her own terms. Ace Punjabi music director The Boss has given it the right beats and bass to make it the anthem for every new-age girl. The video of the song has the lead actress of the film, Neeru Bajwa showing her acting prowess, once again.
This movie has been in news right from its announcement because of the fresh pairing of Neeru Bajwa opposite Amrit Maan. Alongside these two talented artists, the film also has stellar actors like veteran Punjabi actor Sardar Sohi, Gurpreet Ghuggi, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Nirmal Rishi, Harby Sangha, Nisha Bano, Preeto Sawhney, Dilawar Sidhu, Prakash Jadu, and Anmol Verma. As per the film’s trailer, Aate Di Chidi is going to be a giggle-fest where Punjab’s issues will be gently showcased in a humorous way. The movie is helmed by Harry Bhatti and Raju Verma has written the story. The movie has been shot in Punjab and Canada. The entire project is produced by Teg Productions’ Charanjit Singh Walia and Tegbir Singh Walia. GRS Chhina (Calgary, Canada) has co-produced this film along with Teg Productions. It is distributed worldwide by Munish Sahni’s Omjee Group.
Neeru Bajwa, the leading lady of the film said, “This song is like giving a voice to today’s women. It is all about a woman asking her man to let her live according to her will. I have been brought up to be independent by my parents and am thankful to them, and my husband as well, who has supported me in all my decisions. In fact, the times are changing. Women don’t have to make demands or request their men for things. Now they are career-oriented and want to live life on their terms. ‘Aate Di Chidi’ title track is a celebration of that spirit and we have tried to give this confidence a boost through it. I hope people will like it because the song has the potential to make it to the trends and chartbuster lists.”
Music Director, The Boss, added, “’Aate Di Chidi’ is a song all about women claiming what’s their right: to be their own boss. Mankirat has done a terrific job at expressing these feelings with the right amount of energy. I
t was my job to give it the right thump to make people hear it on repeat. And I have given my best, for sure. You can play it with your friends at a house slumber party and you can dance to it too. Every girl and woman can just use the song to speak their hearts out. I am looking forward to see people’s response to the number.” “Punjab is a land where women are given equal importance as their male counterparts. We always want to send across some positive message through our films and try to give prominence to Punjab’s rich culture and heritage. We wanted a title song that can be the anthem for women of Punjab and all around the world who want to live life queen size.
This title track is definitely that and more, without being serious and going the peppy way. ‘Aate Di Chidi’ is a film you can go and enjoy with your family and re-visit the Punjab we have forgotten in this fast paced life”, said Charanjit Singh Walia and Tegbir Singh Walia of Teg Productions.
‘Aate Di Chidi’ title track released on the official YouTube channel of Lokdhun Punjabi’s label. This Neeru bajwa and Amrit Maan- starrer film is set to hit the theatres on 19 th October 2018.
